Dave Lipps
WABI Cycling Organizer/Advocate
After a several year hiatus, WABI Burien has re-launched a group biking program, coordinated by Burien resident and new WABI Board Member, Dave Lipps.
Dave became a resident of Burien in June 2021 following his retirement, moving from Reston, Virginia with his wife Audrey, current leader of the WABI Weekday Walkers.
Dave enjoys exploring the myriad of hiking and biking trails in the greater Seattle region, and will represent WABI and the residents of Burien as a member of the Leafline Trails Coalition. Leafline is an organization whose goal is to create an interconnected network of shared trails across the Central Puget Sound region to improve health, community, quality of life, mobility, and access for all.
Since the formation of WABI Burien in 2011, the number of cyclists in town has dramatically increased. The recent years of the covid pandemic also greatly added to this increase. With Dave’s participation now, WABI is thrilled to have his cycling focus.
Dave’s first group bike ride will be along the Green River Trail, Wednesday, March 29, starting at 10:00 AM. You can read the details HERE.
Thanks, Dave, for “riding up” for all of us cyclists in town! And welcome to WABI Burien!
