Our next walk will be Saturday, August 17th at 11AM.

After multiple requests, I’ll finally be talking about blood cholesterol. Cholesterol is a fatty substance in the blood that helps build cells but can cause heart problems if levels are too high. Not surprisingly, it has become the target of profit-making schemes to get people to pay lots of money for testing and treatment (I’m looking at you statins). Which is to say, there’s a lot of biased health messaging out there, but I’ll clarify where that bias lies as I give you advice on how to manage your cholesterol levels.

Also I want to give some advance notice that there will be no Walk with a Doc in September. That will mark the one year anniversary of the South Seattle chapter, and I plan to use that time to map out this next year.
