On Sunday, the monthly Des Moines Waterland Walk will return to a favorite route, the Des Moines Creek Trail.
Date & Time: November 18, 2018, meet at 11:00 am
Meeting Place: Near the fishing pier/bathrooms in the northwest corner of the Des Moines Marina.
Parking: Remember there is a fee for parking at the marina and beach park. Des Moines residents can buy an annual pass at the marina office.
Route & Features: The Des Moines Creek Trail is 2 miles each way, slightly uphill going north, and paved. Adding ¼ mile or so to get to the trailhead, the total walk will be about 4 ½ miles. Anyone who doesn’t have the time or energy to walk the whole way is free to turn around at any point. The trail is through the woods, so it is protected from the weather, whether sunny, rainy, or windy. Baby Strollers and dogs on leashes are welcome.
