Bridge in White Center Heights Park

Let’s head north from Burien to explore four hidden parks and ponds located in White Center. They may not be green at this time of year, but the parks are still lovely spaces to enjoy. All are invited to join us on this new WABI itinerary on Wednesday, Jan 15th, 2025, starting at 10am.

We’ll meet at TAF Bethaday Community Learning Space where there’s plenty of free parking. Our route will take us through Dick Thurnau Memorial Park, Steve Cox Memorial Park, White Center Pond Natural Area, and White Center Heights Park. Most of the route is on paved or well-packed natural trails through the parks, with some sidewalk and street walking between parks. There is also a set of stairs to climb after passing through White Center Pond Natural Area.
