Come join us for the monthly walks of the WABI Weekday Walkers, on the third Wednesday of each month in various South County locations. November and December’s walks will start at the same location in Tukwila, close to Southcenter so you can do some Christmas shopping after the walk! Both walks are flat and approximately an hour.
Wednesday, November 20 — Green River / Interurban Trails South
We’ll head north to head south making a loop around the Green River and Interurban Trails. Walk is flat, three miles or so. Discover the secret passages under I-405! See Rocky and Bullwinkle! Disneyland! Mt. Rainier! Who knows what surprises you’ll encounter When you Walk With WABI!
Wednesday, December 18 — Green River / Interurban Trails North
Santa wants to take a walking break as he preps for the big day! Come discover this urban oasis as we head north along the Duwamish River, and enjoy Tukwila’s Fort Dent Park and Foster Golf Links. The walk is flat and about three miles, so you’ll still have plenty of time for Christmas shopping.
Meeting Location
Park at Green River Trail parking lot located behind the FedEX Office building at 116 Andover Park East. (Please do not park in FedEx’s parking lot.) This is at the corner of Tukwila Parkway and Andover Park East, right by I-405, and across the street from Lowe’s Hardware.
Meeting Time
Please gather at 8:45 so we can start walking promptly at 9:00 am.
