Maybe it was the bright, sunny day and the twenty-two “12th Man” walkers that nudged the Seattle Seahawks’ momentum in the right direction from all the way across the country… but we all scored VICTORY!
(Could we have conceived of a more gorgeous day for a walk in February?)
We gathered, strolled, chatted and rounded back in time to watch the kick-off (feeling good that we had more than 2 miles under our belts to counteract whatever we ate or drank as we “cheered local”). We had walked the Highline/Sunnydale loop from Burien Town Square and back, then seven of us walked over to The Greek House to enjoy their Super Bowl special hours and menu. Mmm: Calamari and gyros while the Seahawks dive-bombed the Broncos.
Some may have said, “Oh no… there’s no time for a walk. I’m gonna watch the game.” We did both and cheered the victors. Go Hawks!
