WABI Burien Bikers will cycle along three of Seattle’s waterways on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 beginning at 10 AM. The route begins at the Green River Trail in Tukwila, cycling north as the Green River becomes the Duwamish River waterway and continues to Cecil Moses Memorial Park. On our return trip, we will turn east onto the Lake-to-Sound trail and cycle through the Black River Riparian Forest and Wetlands. We then connect with the Springbrook Trail, which meanders along Springbrook Creek, returning back to our starting point on the Green River trail.

We will meet at the Green River Trail parking area in Tukwila located behind the Holiday Inn-Express and cycle north toward Seattle, as described above. The total route is 13 miles of flat, paved bike trail. The trip is estimated to take 90 minutes, including a break to rehydrate.

All participants will need to bring their own bike, a bike safety helmet, and are expected to follow safety guidelines as outlined in the Ride Smart Biking tips.  We also advise all bikers to bring along: water for hydration, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a small snack (granola bar, dried fruit, nuts, etc).
