The sun shone on the shoulders of 26 walkers (and 2 pooches) yesterday as they chatted their way fromBurien Town Square over to Mathison Park. We had English, Spanish and Japanese native speakers mixing and mingling along the way on our 10th monthly Walk-n-Talk.
(Click on the photo below for a larger view. A mother with her 3-year-old and 1-month-old met up with us a block away, so she didn’t make it into this group shot.)
Burien Town Square is in the distance as walkers get started along the way.
When we arrived at the park, both “big kids” and little ones took a short playground break before descending down the wooded pathway.
Along the way back to the center of town, we passed Dotty Harper Park, another one of Burien’s green gems available for all to enjoy.
Put the next Walk-n-Talks on your calendar!
