Feet First is a state-wide organization promoting walkable communities… including Burien and our south end neighboring cities. When you’re not walking with WABI, you could be joining Feet First on some of their walks!

“Feet First empowers communities throughout Washington State to create
safe, healthy, and  equitable public spaces for people walking and rolling.”

Walk South on the Soos Creek Trail, Sept. 13 at 9:00 AM

Hosted By Christopher E. and Valerie E.

This is last in a series of Feet First self-guided summer walks every other Wednesday morning of up to 3 miles round trip during May to Sept. in or close to Kent. There will be directions where to go.

You can walk at your own speed following our trail makers starting any time between 9 am and 10:30 am (finish by 11 am). You will sign in at the start of your walk at a table set up at or close by the Shelter at Gary Grant Park to the right of the restrooms (see picture). There is no need to register in advance.

This time we will follow the Soos Creek Trail south from Gary Grant Park. There are some nice views on a fine day. The address is Gary Grant Park, SE 208th Street, Kent. (first left after 136th Ave. SE).

Bring family and friends. You may also bring your dog on a leash. Look out for our “Feet First Walk Here” sign board by the parking lot entrance on SE 208th St. The route is all paved so suitable for wheelchairs etc. It is almost all flat with no steep hills.
