WABI-ists strutted their orange and green in Burien’s Fourth of July parade this year. There was a Bike-Rack-On-Parade, towed in its very own “float”, plus bikes, trikes, helmets and walking shoes.

WABI-ists queued up in the staging area waiting for the start of the parade. We were sandwiched between the roaring Harley group and the Highline High School Marching Band playing their fight song. (Great music for marching in a parade.)

WABI Weekday Walkers leader, Laura – Lady Liberty – Kennedy Gould, tied streamers onto a friend’s trike and adorned herself with the Liberty Crown.

WABI Board members, Sue Blazak (left, in pink) and Maureen Hoffmann (front, in orange and green polka dot) practiced their queen’s waves: elbow, elbow, wrist, wrist.
