In March, when writing the Downtown Burien Bike Rack Project Wrap-up, there were still 6 bike racks awaiting installation. Since 2013, we had completed installation of 35 bike racks in the public right-of-way and on the few private properties that had participated. The last piece of the nearly 4-year-long project was installing those 6 bike racks in some of Burien’s busier parks.
Yesterday I went from park to park mounting the sponsorship plaques on 5 of those 6. The remaining rack will be installed in time for the dedication ceremony on July 22 of the new playground at Dottie Harper Park (adjacent to the Burien Community Center).
Once again, a big shout out to the many partners integral to this project!
