The monthly Des Moines Waterland Walk in March will be at Saltwater State Park in Des Moines.
Date & Time: March 18 at 11:00 am
Meeting Place: Saltwater State Park, in the parking lot next to the bathrooms at the bottom of the road after you go thru the state park gate.
Parking: You will either need a daily state park pass (available by machine at the gate) or an annual Discover Pass to park your vehicle inside the state park.
Route & Features: We will walk the loop trail around the park and campground, which is an up-and-down dirt trail. The trail could could be muddy. The distance is about 2 miles. As an option at the end we could go down to the beach and walk along the path next to the water. The low tide on Sunday is scheduled for 12:45 pm, so it will be a good time to explore the beach.
