On Sunday, the monthly Des Moines Waterland Walk will return to the route walked most often, the Des Moines Creek Trail.
Date & Time: July 15, 2018 at 11:00 am
Meeting Place: Near the fishing pier/bathrooms in the northwest corner of the Des Moines Marina.
Parking: Remember there is a fee for parking at the marina now, and Des Moines residents can buy an annual pass at the marina office.
Route & Features: The Des Moines Creek Trail is 2 miles each way, slightly uphill going north and paved. Dogs and strollers are welcome. Adding ¼ mile or so to get to the trailhead, the total walk will be about 4 ½ miles. Anyone who doesn’t have the time or energy to walk the whole way is free to turn around at any point. The trail is thru the woods, so is protected from the weather, whether sunny, rainy, or windy.
