Twenty “Walking Ambassadors” got in a huddle last night to plan for the Seattle Stairways Walks coming up on Saturday, February 9. (Read full coverage HERE.) Walkers met at the Pioneer Square offices of the Feet First organization. Representing WABI Burien, (one of the partners for the Stairways Walks), was Maureen Hoffmann (far left).
The cluster of 15 Seattle Stairways Walks launches the new book “Seattle Stairway Walks: An Up-and-Down Guide to City Neighborhoods”, by Cathy and Jake Jaramillo (seated in the center of the photo, Cathy in the plaid shirt and Jake with his hands outstretched on the table).
Urban explorers are invited to join one of fifteen fun and FREE guided neighborhood walks ranging in location from Burien to Fremont, Queen Anne to Bellevue, and everywhere in between. Burien’s contribution to the day explores Eagle Landing Park and its 289 steps down to the shore… and back up again.
When posing together for this group portrait, everyone joked that it looked like “The Last Supper”.
