This month we will have our annual holiday walk around downtown Des Moines.
Meet at 11:00 am on Saturday December 18th at Big Catch Plaza (next to Dollar Tree), at the intersection of South 216th Street, 7th Avenue South, and Marine View Drive. Dogs and strollers are welcome.
This is a great chance to enjoy the decorations, get some exercise, meet new people, and to check out what great local businesses we have in town. Shopping at local shops and eating at local restaurants is a great way to support small businesses which have really struggled due to the pandemic and labor shortage.
During our walk we can share with each other the great restaurants and bars we have gone to, recommend local services we have used, and discover small shops we could visit for last minute holiday shopping.
