The November walk of the Des Moines Waterland Walkers is this coming weekend, a special Saturday walk on November 23rd. Hopefully those who can’t walk with us on Sundays can join us this Saturday.
We will be joining the Parkrun event which is held every Saturday at Des Moines Beach Park. They meet at the Des Moines Beach Event Center at 22030 Cliff Ave South, then walk partway up the Des Moines Creek Trail.
Most participants are runners, but walkers are welcome and do participate. The event starts at 9:00 am, so please get there earlier and check in with the Parkrun volunteers who will help instruct you on what to do. They request that everyone complete a one time registration on their website, www.parkrun.us/desmoinescreek/. Check the website for more information also.
