Did you know that there is a secret quiet forested park moments away from SeaTac Airport, Highway 518, and Highway 405? Did you know there is a neighborhood of lovely homes with incredible views of Mt. Rainier tucked away above Southcenter? Come check out the secrets of Crystal Springs Park with WABI Weekday Walkers on Wednesday, May 15 at 9:00 am. We will explore the park’s trails and surrounding neighborhood for about an hour. Be prepared for hills and possible muddy trails.
DATE: Wednesday, May 15, 2019 (always the third Wednesday of the month)
TIME: Meet 5-10 minutes early so we can start walking promptly at 9:00 am.
PLACE: Meet at Crystal Springs Park parking lot. Although this is a City of Tukwila park, it is located in McMicken Heights, just east of SeaTac Airport.
DIRECTIONS: From Burien: Take Highway 518 east, and get off the 51st Ave. S /Southcenter Parkway exit. Turn right (towards Southcenter Parkway), then turn right on 53rd Ave South, then take your first right into the park. This is about 10 minutes from Burien.
From East of 1-405: Access Southcenter Blvd. (NOT Southcenter Parkway) from I-5 or I-405. Head west and take a left across Highway 518 on 51st Ave. S. Turn right on 53rd Ave South, then take your first right into the park. Click on map below to enlarge.
