On Sunday, the monthly Des Moines Waterland Walk will return to the route walked most often, the Des Moines Creek Trail.
Date & Time: May 20 at 11:00 am
Meeting Place: Near the fishing pier/bathrooms in the northwest corner of the Des Moines Marina.
Parking: Remember there is a fee for parking at the marina now, and Des Moines residents can buy an annual pass at the marina office.
Route & Features: The Des Moines Creek Trail is 2 miles each way, with an added ¼ mile to reach the trailhead. It is paved and slightly uphill going up to 200th. Dogs, strollers, and wheelchairs are welcome. If you don’t have time or are unable to walk the entire trail you can turn around at any point.
