Or maybe you’re new to walking and want to get started for fun, fresh air and exercise? Perhaps you’re new to Burien and want to meet people and get to know the area? There are many others around town that love to get their walking shoes on and take a stroll. Add companionship and conversation to your walk by joining one of the walking groups around Burien.

These walks are FREE
to all who join in.

  • WhenFIRST SUNDAY of each month, rain-or-shine.
    August 6, 2023 began our thirteenth year of Walk-n-Talks!
    We haven’t missed a month yet! (Except for a couple of months due to Covid.)
  • Time: Meet at 2:00, start walking at 2:15 pm.
  • Where: Starting points and routes vary each month.
    Information posted a few days before the walk.
    Walks are generally 2.25 to 2.5 miles long.
    The Walk-n-Talks explore the many different neighborhoods of Burien.

WhenTHIRD WEDNESDAY of each month, rain-or-shine.

  • Time: Walk Times are either 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early so we can leave promptly. (Check the walk post on the web site for the start time for that walk.)
  • Where: Starting points and routes vary each month. Walks are generally 3 miles long. The Weekday Walkers walk in Burien, Des Moines, Normandy Park, SeaTac, Renton and Tukwila.

When: NEW TIME! FOURTH SATURDAY of each month, rain-or-shine.

  • Time: 11:00 AM. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early so we can leave promptly.
  • Where: Starting points and routes vary each month. Walks are generally 2-3 miles long. Waterland Walkers typically walk in downtown Des Moines, along the Des Moines Creek Trail, Redondo and other spots in the area.

Burien Walk with a Doc

  • WhenTHIRD SATURDAY of each month, rain-or-shine.
  • Time: Meet at 11:00
  • Where: Burien Town Square Park – 480 SW 152nd St., Burien, WA 98166 (Meet at the south end sculpture).
  • Info: At the start of each walk, a health care professional will speak for 5-7 minutes about a general health topic, and then everyone will go for a walk together. Read more about Walks with a Doc here.
